All languages, whether they are programming languages such as C, C#, C++, Objective C, Java or Android, scripting languages such as JavaScript, or mark-up languages such as WebKit 2.0, WAP and HTML, all implement an application model, which is the abstraction for what capabilities the language was designed. Productivity tools, such as word processors and spread sheets, also have application models, although they usually have very limited extensibility as compared to programming languages. Typically, they sacrifce the robustness of a programming language for ease-of-use.
